034: MONDAY MORNING MASH-UP: Practice Makes Perfect - TREATMENT PLANS!

Kiera provides a simple role-play activity for your Monday Huddle! This week she discusses: “Presenting the Treatment Plan to your Patients.” She states that the doctor should quickly go through the plan with the patient giving a SPECIFIC DATE of when to see the patient for a follow-up and a SPECIFIC TIME of how long the procedure will take. Then the dental assistant, or hygienist, and treatment coordinator mimics what the doctor says as well as HOW and WHEN to discuss the cost with the patient. Kiera highlights the importance of PUTTING THE EMPHASIS ON SCHEDULING, NOT ON MONEY. By practicing different patient responses to the treatment plan provided and positively critiquing one another, you will insure the perfect execution when the moment of truth arrives!
